There’s a reason why Italians love to drink Prosecco on New Year’s Eve. Well, actually, there are a number of reasons.
The first is that great Prosecco (like La Gioiosa Prosecco) is always very fresh — on the nose and the palate. Especially after an evening of eating and drinking, it’s the perfect way to “freshen up” the night for that midnight toast.
Secondly, Prosecco is extremely food friendly. It pairs well with nearly everything: Whether you’re ordering take-out from your favorite Indian restaurant or cooking a traditional Italian New Year’s feast (lentils and cotechino, a boiled pork sausage), Prosecco fits the bill!
Lastly, great Prosecco has just the right amount of sweetness, without too much alcohol, to remind us of la dolce vita on New Year’s Eve — the sweetness of life.
Happy new year, everyone! Thank you for being here in 2019. We looking forward to seeing you in 2020!
